At the time of class DEE downgradation of Radio Set / Signal equipments we confused the steps under which this are disposed off. Due to lack of knowledge we keep them in store and never tack an action, resulting complications in future. In this regard a clarification received from higher authority is as under:-

        All class DEE Radio Set / Signal stores are Cat ‘A’ stores, the procedure which is being followed for Cat ‘A’ stores to deposit salvage and its disposal is also applicable for sig stores. Deposition and auction through SSTC be implemented for signal stores also.

Class DEE check list

Class DEE BPS Check list   It is seen that the class DEE Board Proceedings are running in between higher authority and user unit regularly with out proper  action. It increases the office work and time consumed.  Same time the veh get deteriorated and its face value also will reduced.  

         

The higher authority return BPS due to non availability of essential informations and various minor observations which are very essential in BPS as per Class DEE policy/ Administrative instruction No 2.

        In view of above, all units should be check the Class DEE BPS for its correctness once before forwarding it to higher authority with an aim of “one forward and return with sanction” aptitude.

  

Class DEE BPS Check list (FWT Case)

1      BA/ EM No.

2      Make & Type / Correct nomenclature.     

3      Chassis No /Compressor No/ Alternator No.

4.     Engine No.                 

5      Date of Induction.

6.     Capital Cost.

7.     Release Order.            

8.     Total KM/HRs Run.

9.     BOH life.

10.    AOH life.                    

11.    Present Eng life.  

12.    Life of Tyre and Battery.

13.    Recommendation of OC unit and CDR TF.

14.    Technical Inspection Report with pencil rubbings of Eng and Chassis No etc duly signed by Officer.

15.    Write reason for dgn on top of Inspection report as “FWT Case” in Red         ink.

16.    Retrieval/ Non retrieval Certificate.

17.    CRV duly credit verified if retrieval carried out.

18.    Log Book.

19.    KM closing Certificate in log book.

20.    Class DEE entry in log Book by Wksp.

21.    Calculation sheet with assessed cost of SA/RA part.

22.    Ferrous /Non ferrous metal statements.

23.    Details as per HQ DGBR L No 16187/DGBR/E4 Tech dated 08 May 1974.

24.    Weight of New veh/Eqpt/Plant and old one.

25.    Maintenance Certificate.

26.    Info: Tank Balance, Date of off road & Run Etc.

27.    Update delay report.

28.    Tank Balance and its CRV duly credit verified.

29.    Calculation verification by AO TF.

30.    Signatures of BOO.

Fitment of Tyre and batteries 

 We know different types of tyre and batteries, but some time confused the correct fitment of them. Incorrect fitment of tyre will increase the worn out and reduce the life. Same way incorrect fitment of battery will also reduce the life. The correct veh/Eqpy/Plant- via- fitment of tyre and battery is as under:-
