Engine model 6BT 5.9, Make: Cummins. Engine warranty 15 months from the date of dispatch from factory or 12 months from the date of commissioning or 3600 Hrs operation which ever occur first.

Fuel Pump make: Mico Ltd, Self starter and Alternator make: Lucas TVS Ltd. (24 Volt)  Battery 12 V 110 AH, Make JCB, Qty 02 Nos.

Engine valve clearance should be carried out at 1000 Hrs/ 12 months. Intake valve clearance is 0.254 mm or 0.010 inch and exhaust valve clearance is 0.508 mm or 0.020 inch.

Engine oil pressure should be more than 1 Kg/Cm2 with in 15 second after start the engine. While starting, do not engage the starter motor more than 30 sec. Wait 2 minute between each attempt to start.

Avoid idling the engine more than 10 minutes. Long Idling period may be harmful to the engine due to combustion chamber temperature drops so low that the fuel will not burn completely. Then carbon formation may clog the injector’s spry holes and also cause valve and piston rings to stick.

Do not operate the engine if the temperature of the coolant exceeds 98oC and engine oil pressure is low than 18 PSI, so frequently check the oil and coolant temperature gauges to maintain the temperature within level.

After full load operation idle the engine 3 to 5 minutes before shut down the engine so that lubrication oil and coolant to carry heat away from the combustion chamber, bearings, shaft etc. This is especially important for turbocharged engine.

Before doing any welding works, remove connection of battery, Amplifier device, Electronic control unit (ECU) and monitor display. If failure to disconnect, the sensitive electrical equipments could be result irrecoverable damages to those equipments.

Incorrect operation, maintenance or repair to the engine and emission control system may lead to reduce product life, loss of performance or malfunction. It is the operator’s responsibility to ensure maintenance is conducted properly in accordance with the instructions.

Note:-

1)

If operating under arduous conditions, do an engine oil flush (use the normal recommended engine oil) every 250 hours and replace the engine oil and filter. Service times may depend on fuel used.

2)

If operating in dusty condition do these tasks more frequently.

3)

If using a breaker, crusher or pulverize, refer to the service intervals for attachments as per manual.

4)

Tighten the nut and bolts at 50 hours of first use and then every 250 hours.

5)

First 250 hours service only and then every 1000 hours. (If the tracking hour is greater than 20% machine hours then sample/replace every 500 hours.)

6)

Replace every filters & lubricants at 5000 hours.

7)

Replace every filters & lubricants at 8000 hours.

8)

Every 6 months or 1000 hours whichever comes first.
