Calculation of Tyre Tube and Battery for one year
When we demanding Tyre Tube and Batteries (TTB) from higher authority or when we placing supply Order for purchase of TTB from a Company, We never demand / place SO for a bulk quantity, over than the requirement for the year.
Now,how we can calculate the quantity of TTB required for the next one year?. So that we can meet all our requirements around correct.
1. The formula for calculation of TYRE for one year = N x W x SF
where,
a) N= Total Number of vehicles held in our maintenance charge.
b) W= Number of wheel fitted in the vehicle including spare wheel.
c) Service factor (SF) :- The service factor of the tyre is nothing but the ratio in between the Govt desired level of utilisation during the year of a particular veh/Eqpt (U) to the stipulated laid down life of the tyre (L).
See the SF for a particular size of tyre (Say Size 10.00 x 20)
In this case, SF = 20,000 KMs (U) = 5 = 0.83
24,000 KMs (L) 6
Now See the Example for calculation of tyre for one year
(Assume we hold 260 Nos Dumpers fitted with 11 Tyres)
Here, N=260, W=11 & SF =0.83
Now total requirement of tyres for maintenance
of this 260 Vehicles for oneyear 260x11x .83 = 2373.8 Say 2,370 Nos ( Rounded off)
2. The requirement of tube of same size for one year is only 60-70 % of the tyres for all load carrying vehicles and 80-100 % for light / personnel carrying vehicles.
3. The requirement of flap rust of same size for one year is only 30-35 % of the tyres for all load carrying vehicles and 60- 65 % for light / personnel carrying vehicles.
Some Service factor for tyre of V/E/P is as under:-
A. For all Vehicles = 0.83
B. For Major Equipments
a) Excavator 8/9 Ton Cup (JCB, Tata JD etc)
Front tyre 9.00 x 16 Size = 1.2
Rear tyre 14.00 x 25 Size = 0.6
b) Pay loader /Wheel loader (1420X / 1420L)
tyre Size 18.00 x 25 = 0.4
c) Bomang Vib Road Roller
Tyre Size 23.10 x 26 = 0.6
d) Schmidth snow cutter Tyre = 0.6
e) Snow styer cutter tyre
Front = 1.25
Rear = 0.6
1. The formula for calculation of BATTERY for one year = N x B x 0.5
wher,
a) N= Total Number of V/E/P held in our maint charge with same size of Battery.
b) B= Number of batteries fitted in the veh /Eqpt/Plants.
c) 0.5 is a constant service factor for 1 Year demand of Battery is nothing but the ratio in between the available months during the year (M) to the stipulated laid down life of the Battery (L).
See the SF for a
battery = 12 Months (M) = 1 = 0.5 24 Months (L) 2
(SF for battery will varies depending up on the period of demand
as 0.125 for 3 Months, 0.25 for 6 Months, 0.5 for 1 year and 1 for 2year)
Now See the Example for calculation of battery for one year
(Assume we hold 260 Nos Dumpers fitted with 02 Batteries)
Here, N=260, B= 2 & SF = 0.5.
Now total requirement of batteries for maintenance
of this 260 Vehicles for one year = 260 x 2 x 0.5 = 260 Nos
