Group, utilization and classification of V/E/Ps
The group
of veh/eqpt/plants in BRO are same as in Army.
Group ‘A’ Vehicles are using in Army for fighting purpose and this type
vehs are not held in BRO.
Group ‘B’ vehicles are those using for carrying personnel and load. BA
number issued for this group.
Group ‘C’ vehicles are those using for earth work like all equipment, machinery and plants. EM
number issued for this group.
Utilisation
of vehicle equipment and plants
Utilisation
of veh/eqpt/plants in BRO is as per utilization norms. The utilisation norms
for all vehicles are 20,000 KMs/year and for all eqpt or plants were 1200 HRs/
year. It may be slight variations depending up on the situations like off road,
requirements, road conditions and climatic conditions etc.
Utilization is mainly depending up on the
classification of the veh/eqpt/plants. The classifications are as under:-
Classification
of veh/Eqpt/Plants
Class ‘AYE’:- The
veh/eqpt/plants which are fit for mobilization and repair under the scope of
user unit are called class AYE veh/eqpt/plants.
Class ‘BEE’:- The veh/eqpt/plants
which are fit for mobilization but off road, and repair under the scope of field
workshop are called class BEE veh/eqpt/plants.
Class ‘Csp’:- The
veh/eqpt/plants which are fit for mobilization but went off road want of spares
as any major aasys / sub assys etc and repair under the scope of field work shop. The spares are not materialized
with in a period of 8 weeks on demand from Store Division are called class Csp veh/eqpt/plants. (It means that “off road want
of spares”.)
All Csp
veh/eqpt/plants should be deducted from calculation of unit output norms for
the period from off road to till the date of put on road.
Class ‘CEE’:- The
veh/eqpt/plants which are not fit for mobilization and repair under the scope of
Base workshop are called class CEE veh/eqpt/plants. In entire life span all
major veh/eqpt/ plants should be ones directed to the Base Work Shop for a
major overhaul. This classification given to the veh/eqpt/plants within 60 to
75 % to the stipulated laid down life of them.
Class ‘Dty’:- The
veh/eqpt/plants which are fit for mobilization and its mechanical condition is
good but it cross the stipulated laid down life by usage are called class Dty
veh/eqpt/plants.
Class ‘DEE’:- The veh/eqpt/plants which are not fit for
mobilization due to its mechanical condition is poor by crossing its twin life (or damaged in accident) (Click here for twin life) (Click here for new inducted VEPs twin life) and sentenced as unserviceable are
called as class DEE veh/eqpt/plants. (Sentenced as de-commissioned)
Class ‘Dp’:- The veh/eqpt/plants
which are sentenced as class ‘DEE’, but its Technical sanction and ADM sanction
are not been accorded from competent authority are called class Dp (DEE
provisional) veh/eqpt/plants.
Class ‘D-Tech’:- The veh/eqpt/plants
which are in class ‘Dp’ and its technical confirmation issued by a competent
technical authority are called class D-Tech veh/eqpt/plants
Class ‘D-Adm’:- The veh/eqpt/plants
which are in class ‘D-Tech’ and its Adm sanction issued by a competent
administrative authority are called class D-Adm veh/eqpt/ plants. After receive
of an Adm sanction Veh/eqpt/plants can be deposited to SSTC for disposal off
through auction and charge off from ledger charge.
