BA / EM Number of Veh/Eqpt/Plants

BA / EM Number

BA/EM number is an identification number of veh /eqpt/plants which allotted from HQ DGBR E3ES Section.

 BA Number is allotted to all vehicles only. BA means Broad arrow (An arrow aiming towards the sky.) and indicating that, this veh is a property of defence.

EM Number   is allotted to all Equipments and plants EM means Equipments and machinery.   

BA/EM Number is a combination of three part, that are :-

                        a)     Year of purchase.

                        b)     Category.

                        c)     A number depending up on the type.

        Example : 09E-60972  

        Here, 09 is the year of purchase, E is indicating that ‘ this is a ‘7’ Tonner veh,  finally the 5 digit  number, under which first ‘2’ digit  are indicating it is a Load carrier. And last ‘3’ digit are the follower serial numbers.

a)     Year of purchase is nothing but the year on which the Supply Order placed with the company/vender.

b)     Category of veh is nothing but the aim of purchase has been carried out for which purpose. Or in other words the usage of veh /Eqpt/Plant. An alphabetical index indicating the category of veh/eqpt/plant like this:-

c)     A number depending up on the type of veh, is a ‘5’ digit  number, under which first ‘2’ digit  are indicating it’s  type and last ‘3’ digit are the follower serial numbers. The first two digit numbers are indicating the Type of veh/eqpt /plant like this:-
